George Gordon Associates

Problem:

George Gordon Associates (GGA) designs and manufactures packaging machines and systems. They compete against much larger companies. With no internal Marketing department, they were in need of a competitive market image and all of the materials that are required to maintain that image and support sales.

Solution:

OEM Marketing acts as GGA's Marketing Department, strategizing with the VP of Marketing and Sales, and then executing everything required to support sales and marketing efforts, including press release packages, product launches, trademark design and registration, product photography, advanced product imaging, signage, data sheets, brochures, space advertisements, websites, search engine optimization, videography and editing, and trade show booth design, construction and graphics.

Results:

Our joint efforts have resulted in numerous bid proposals and contracts on an on-going basis to sustain and grow GGA's business, despite often severe budget constraints.

Solution: Space Ad Development

GGA's space ad program included insertions in a variety of trade publications.

Solution: Digital Imaging

Quite often there would be a very small window between the completion of assembly of a packaging system and its shipment. Occassionally, a product shot would be needed of the finished product prior to its full assembly. This is a typical example of taking a photo of an incomplete product, and retouching it sufficiently to be used in promotional materials.

Solution: Trademark Development and Registration

Due to continuous innovation in GGA's packaging product line, we were often required to design, document, and register new trademarks. The top one is for a food-grade equipment product line; the second is for a synchronizing conveyor belt system.

Solution: Low-cost Video Shoot

GGA was one of our first clients to extensively use video in their sales efforts. Often, they would shoot video for use in sales presentations, where lighting and quality were of importance. They would invariably shoot video for machine documentation purposes, since many of their products were initially for unique applications. In those situations, the quality of the final video could vary considerably, given budget and time constraints.

This is an example of low-cost, "down-and-dirty" video.

Solution: Website Development

GGA uses a signficant amount of video to demonstrate their products on their website. This revision provided numerous enhancements to their prior site - more video with faster download times, better organization, simpler navigation, product documentation pdfs for speedy downloads to name a few.

Solution: Tradeshow Booth Design

Early on in our relationship with GGA, we were asked to design and manage the construction of a new, modular tradeshow booth. The design had to accommmodate 10', 20', and 30' booth configurations.

The image shows both the internal "stick" construction, and finished laminated exterior of one of the modules.
